do it yourself.
Make your own spring tea
Spring, early spring, is the time of year to get rid of the remnants left in your body from the winter. And that can be done very simply with herbs. And maybe they (or some of them) are just growing in your own garden. Which herbs can you choose from? Basically everything that is edible is also drinkable. And that can be dried or fresh. Consider, for example: nettle, yarrow, dandelion, cleavers, dead nettle and much more. Below I give you a few options with the most important 'working areas'. If you want to do the tea with spring herbs as a 'detox' or spring cure, drink at least 2 strong cups a day.
Birch
Birch leaf tea is quite bitter. But together with some tastier herbs, it would like to add it because of its cleansing effect. It cleanses your body through the kidneys and also works on your skin in that way. Moreover, Berk makes you more flexible physically, but also mentally / emotionally. It sets your emotions in motion and makes it easier for you to move with what is happening around you. Incidentally, without losing your own grounding. That's the beauty of working with trees.
Stinging Nettle
This stinging herb can now be seen everywhere in full bunches and is packed with vitamins and minerals. It is a cleansing herb and also replenishes your deficiencies. It cleanses the blood, skin, intestines, kidneys ... truly a super herb! Are you a quick overexcited person? And can you not get rid of those stimuli? Or are you irritable and are you unable to release your energy properly? Feel free to drink a cup of nettle tea regularly. Or cut some fresh tops into your omelet or stir-fry. No worries: when the heat (hot water or in the pan) has been over it, the sting is gone.
Linden
You can still see her in old village centers. In the center, the heart, the place to meet. You harvest this herb a little later, but is very good as a dried herb for sale at health food stores. With its sweet taste, it is a delicious addition to your spring tea. Linden also cleans through the kidneys. She is a primal mother: she gives comfort and warmth, calms your nervous system when the heart is tense. It is a typical herb for someone who is inclined to give away a little too much.
Dandelion
Many of them become toxic! That root can hardly ever be removed completely ... grrrr ... And yes, that is exactly what this herb wants to release. The anger. What else do you have on your mind? Where in your life do you still adapt? Do you really show yourself? Get rid of the old junk and take your first steps with renewed energy. Dandelion cleans your body and mind through the liver. A tired liver makes you tired and soon causes complaints such as headaches, slowness. Spring is about getting moving and the liver wants that too! Dandelion also replenishes your body with the many vitamins and minerals and gives you new life energy.
Elderberry
In the past there was an elderberry in front of every front door on the farm to keep the evil spirits out. You make delicious syrup from the blossom and the berries are a favorite with birds. As a medicinal herb, it cleans and replenishes. It works against inflammation and can be used for fever and flu. An elder man does not show how he actually feels inside. Elder helps you to connect. It brings the inside and outside together like that front door. Are you opening the door to new possibilities?
Enjoy it!
